Has anyone noticed it's worse after eating certain foods? Had some egg foo young & an egg roll and within 30 minutes, I could tell the dizziness was worse.
Michael Clark Absolutely yes, sometimes, for me, its almost immediate, not even 5 minutes, and I feel dizzy and just blah.....its awful, cause its food I usually love...I'm telling you, this CSD crap is a curse.....

Heather Karpin Shachtman Are you ever not dizzy? I'm only ok sitting or lying down.

Jackie Woody I'm not dizzy all the time now with the meds. But even with the meds there are triggers that make me dizzy. I can't stand or sit still for too long.

Michael Clark What does the antihistamine do for you? I know many CSD'ers / VRT'ers take it, but how does it help, exactly?

Jackie Woody It helps remove the pressure in my head.

Michael Clark Jackie Woody, what do you mean "pressure", can you describe? I feel that allot as well, but I have no cold or sinus headache, just a heavy head....curious to compare

Jackie Woody I don't have a cold or headache either. I just feel like my head is heavy and my ears are full. The Claritin helps relieves that feeling.

Michael Clark You know, this groups comments about symptoms and issues, like foods that make us dizzier, are damned similar to MAV symptoms. I was originally diagnosed with MAV and if you read "Heal Your Headache" and follow the migraine groups, its almost identical to this. Is there a connection?

Jackie Woody The neurologist that I went to said that I had a migrainuous brain & gave me some meds that made me paranoid & almost couldn't function at all. I don't recall the name of the meds. When I told the doc about how I was feeling they said that I had to take them for a longer period of time to determine if they would help or not. I couldn't function at all so I had to stop them. Then he did some shots behind my ear & that didn't do anything either. I stopped going to the Neuro & went back to my reg MD since Xanax was the only thing that seemed to help. She then put me on klonopin & I still have the Xanax if a full panic attach comes on. Haven't had one in a while.

Michael Clark I'm glad Xanax works for you, I'm very tolerant of meds. I could take a bottle of Xanax, literally and feel nothing.....doesn't even phase me at all. The only thing so far that really "calmed me" when I was anxious, was this summer, when we went to Hawaii, I threw my back out climbing on lava rocks (stupid), and they gave me Ativan and oxy for the pain and to calm me. Ativan really seemed to calm me down after about 30 minutes. But Klonopin, Xanax, I might as well take sugar pills, no effect....

Jackie Woody I only take 50mg in the morning and another about 8 hours later. I'm ok as long as I'm doing something, but if I sit or lay down to watch TV then I get very sleepy.

Eli Uri I would take benzos for this if they were prescribed...If only to tone it all down and get some rest so that "retraining" can take place..Generally, doctors refuse this to me, though in the past, it was the only medicine that ever helped me with anything..Maybe now..with this "dizzy" stuff..they'd be more accommodating?

Jackie Woody Since the Xanax have me temporary relief, my regular MD prescribed the benzo since they are more time released and not acute short term relief.
