Hi .. I'm a new member and looking forward to chatting with anyone who find their CSD symptoms triggered as a result of weather conditions. My very first episode took place about 15 years ago while on duty at my office which is on the 2nd floor. It was around 4 pm when a sudden thunderstorm found its' way into our neighborhood. Since it was during the summer (eastern standard time) when the sun is still bright .. the entire area suddenly darkened accompanied by loud thunder and torrential rainfall. One minute I was "standing erect" .. and when the first thunder and crack of lightening hit our building .. I was thrown against the wall and could not move. I tried to steady myself but could not do anything except for sliding down the wall and sitting on the floor. When I tried to get up .. it was then that my dizziness set in "big time" .. and I had to remain on the floor. I recall "crawling" from one place to another trying to find something to grab .. in order to get to a chair. It was scary as I was all alone on the 2nd floor with no one in sight to assist me. Anyway .. took about half an hour to gather myself together .. still found it difficult to "stand" .. and when I did .. my entire body was rocking and swaying all over the place. I managed to get home but still felt "unsteady" for the balance of the evening. Little did I realize that very day would be the beginning of my never-ending unsteady gait, middle ear infections and numerous other unpleasant symptoms related to CSD.
For sure .. severe weather conditions and falling barometric pressure plays a major roll with regard to "triggers" and my battle with CSD.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my lengthy writing.
Take care, God Bless and all those good things .. Helen Marie More (Marlborough, Massachusetts)
