I was just formally diagnosed with 3PD in April of this year. I have been on lexapro since October of last year and just recently started VRT aw well. I have been this way since my last TBI in 2012. My first on was in 2007 as a result of a MVA. I am also in the process of filing for disability as well, though I have no confidence in that, but worth a try. I have a great disability lawyer as well.
Hope you're well today. Luckily I think I'm climbing down from my latest episode, though it's a slow process and sadly doesn't last for ever.
What sort of coping mechanisms have you developed when you're symptoms worsen? In particular, coping for the anxiety?
So far Ive found it useful to keep moving, to pace up and down. It seems to mask the motion I feel otherwise. Additionally, I've *just been put onto Betahistine. Started a course of it yesterday. Fingers crossed it'll help and I can get back to work.
Ps: thank you for your offer, likewise if you need to vent. I'm all ears!
Hi angelfish, I'm new here too. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of activity, which is a shame as I can't find much support for this kind of thing.
I'm sorry to see you've been affected for so long, and here's to hoping for some relief from it all.
Yeah I was a little shocked that it's not a really active forum. But thank you for the well wish. If you need someone to talk to, I'm always here!
Yes, I've been trying for years to get folks to discuss relevant issues here versus just the Facebook site, but, this is 2018, people dont really use / want use / forums anymore, they are all about Social Media sites.....
eliuri: thanks, michael...really do appreciate it..as i said most other forums , their layout works fine with me..im a bit visually hypersensitive..so thanks for accomodating this weakness of mine

eliuri: well, now that Mt Sinai hospital has developed a successful treatment for Mdds, a long cruise might induce the Mdds..so ill rock in opposite direction...that will of course get rid of the CSD by neutralizing it...So anyhow, bring on those ships

ccube1234: The spinning has not stopped. I'm following up with doctor in a couple of weeks. I took 3 Zoloft today. It should take a couple of days to see if it takes effect.

charliegirl: Hi everyone. I am so happy I have found this forum. I am a female, 56 yrs. old. I know I have BPPV, but this is a real eye opener and a real explanation for my constant feeling of unsteadiness between BPPV attacks.

levade: The benzos work! Oddly enough a low dose of halcion in the morning got rid of dizziness right away! ( But my Dr wouldn't give it to me because it's for sleeping.....gave me Xanax instead........which didn't work nearly as well.
